Dr. Carolyn Dewa is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the UC Davis School of Medicine. Her research focuses on work disability related to mental disorders. She also studies the provision and access to mental health services and supports to people experiencing mental illnesses. Her recent studies have examined the successful continuous employment of people with severe and persistent mental illnesses as well as the work retention of workers with depression and stigma experienced by workers with mental disorders and barriers to work accommodations.

Dr. Cynthia Castro Sweet is a Clinical Psychologist and leads the Research team at Modern Health. She has a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Behavioral Medicine from the UCSD/SDSU Joint Doctoral Program. She has worked as an applied behavioral medicine researcher in academia at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, and in the private industry at Omada Health and Modern Health. Her central role is to create and execute a strategic roadmap of high quality clinical research that demonstrates Modern Health is the best-in-class leader in digital mental health solutions.
