Dr. Jessica Watrous is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Director of Clinical Research & Scientific Affairs at Modern Health. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Health Psychology from the University of Memphis and completed an APA-accredited internship followed by an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellowship at University of California, San Diego/San Diego VA Healthcare System. Jessica has 15+ years of experience as both a psychological researcher and clinician working in a variety of settings with diverse populations. Her primary focus has been on the intersection between physical and mental health including the emotional impact of illness and injury, health behavior change, substance use problems, and treatment for co-occurring disorders. Jessica has published numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts and presented nationally and internationally on her work. She is passionate about mental healthcare innovation that leads to accessible, evidence-based, client- and culturally-centered care for all.

Dr. Jody Adewale is a licensed clinical psychologist in Los Angeles, CA. He is the owner of Adewale Psychological Services and treats adults and adolescents, with clinical, behavior, emotional, substance abuse and family issues. He uses various psychological methods to maximize an individual’s potential while improving their mental health. Dr. Adewale is also an adjunct professor of psychology at East Los Angeles College. He teaches biological, clinical, developmental, social, and introductory psychology courses. He has authored two books; Absent Fathers (exploring the impact an absent father has on a child’s/adult’s perception) and Who Can Curly Trust? (a children’s book explaining therapy and confidentiality). Dr. Adewale works with amateur athletes, professional athletes (NFL) and athletic organizations, to improve performance and increase mental health stability. Dr. Adewale was a running back at University of Southern California from 2003-2008 winning two national championships and five Pac 10 titles. He has been featured on television shows, radio, and in documentaries including Surviving R Kelly, Coaching Bad, Flex and Shanice, and Karen Hunter XM radio.
